You ever ask yourself "how the heck did I manage to live this long without being assassinated"?

I wondered how many times my ex was tempted to do that after I told him I got free life insurance from the university after I got a job there. He said “You mean I’d get all that if you die?” And his eyes lit up. I never told him that his name was not listed as a beneficiary on my life insurance but he just assumed it. He was a narcissist.
