If you moved out of state, what was your reason?

Work? Family? To get away?

My brother is trying to get me to move by him again and I’m starting to consider it if I don’t find a place where I’m hoping. It would be nice to get outta NY, I think 🤔

But even better to be closer to my from the start SW bestie who is never here, but we’re in touch off site.

Not me being more open to it just cause we’re already making girls weekend plans 😭

There comes a point when you just know it's 'time.'

As much as I loved my hometown, I'd outgrown it. A move offered greatly expanded value and opportunites.
There'll always be a space in my heart for home. And a twinge of bittersweet fondness when I recall its streets and precious memories. While I plan to visit - often, I'm permanently resettled and happy.

All of what you've listed, make a strong argument for a fresh start.
Whatever you decide, make sure to put yourself and the security of your future and family, 1st.

WIshing you all the best, in making this important life decision.

@SethGreene531 Thank you.. I’m only about an hour from my hometown, but it still hits me when I go back. All those memories like you mentioned!

And thank you.

I know you love your new home and the area and that’s so great that you found it.
@MellyMel22 My pleasure, you're welcome.

Yeah, it'll always be a part of you! 😌 The impact is always profound.
Before moving, I was less than an hour from my birthplace and early childhood home.

We'd visit, often. Its people; its landscape - it's fixtures - remained unchanged, despite the passage of time.
Sometimes you can truly go-home again.

Thank you! I appreciate that! I hope you can likewise find a new home & area to love.

@SethGreene531 Thanks..

That stuff is the sane where I grew up too! There was a Catholic school yard on my street and even that fence brings back craZy memories!
@MellyMel22 Beautiful! And I completely relate!

Amazing how an old fence, a rusty gate, or weathered brownstone; passed over by most as just part of the background, can be so significant to others.

For us, they're not just fixtures of our past, but frame the experiences that formed who we are. And long after we're gone, they'll endure. Against the wind & rain - carry on.

@SethGreene531 Yes! Exactly that.
