Well I almost got hit by a car today and then nearly rear ended someone myself. Space cadet is at it again.

I swear I looked before crossing the street and it was clear but as I was crossing something told me to stop walking and I'm glad I did because this jeep came out of nowhere and I would have been hit if I hadn't stopped. I was driving home afterwards and almost rear ended someone because I was admittedly zoning out and didn't catch that the light had turned and everyone in front of me was stopping. The people in the civic in front of me probably were panicking seeing me barreling down on them. I did manage to be a little more productive today and applied to a few different jobs and actually left the apartment to get some air. I went to the dollar store to grab some cleaning supplies because my apartment looks like a crack den and I think that's part of my problem. I have to return to the dread pit aka work on tomorrow and am already feeling crappy about it.

What state are you in? In most places, laws make it very hard for people on foot to be at fault for being hit by a 2-4 ton moving vehicle. And rightly so. People behind the wheel treat pedestrians like a challenge to their freedom of movement when it's actually the other way around.

I don't blame you for zoning out after that. It's a shocking situation that can effect your state of mind (even if you don't feel it).

I'm glad you didn't get hit. And that person doesn't deserve to own a car.

@SinlessOnslaught I am from Michigan and it's just nuts because I made sure to look both ways before crossing. I don't know where they came from.
