Some exercises for calming you down that I know of:
This one is to stimulate your vagus nerve, a nerve that runs from your brain through to the abdomen so it connects all your vital organs.
It's called "the Valsalva manuver" if you want to Google. Basically you just seal your lips around your thumb and blow as hard as you can as though trying to blow your thumb up like a balloon. It will stimulate that nerve and calm you down almost immediately. You can also use an inverted medicine syringe and blow down the bit where meds come out as though you are trying to plow the plunger out. Paramedics often use that technique to help control people's blood pressure and calm anxiety.
The second exercise is called "The butterfly hug" it's used in EMDR therapy. It uses bilateral stimulation, rhythmic, side to side stimulation of the brain, to reduce the physical and emotional intensity of anxiety, stress or panic.
Cross your arms in front of your chest and place your fingers on your shoulders. Then you just tap each shoulder alternating, first one then the other.
Hope these help xx
