What's the greatest piece of advice anyone has ever given you and who was it?

After dating my girlfriend for a year, I finally got my driver's license and was taking her for our first date alone in the family car. When my father gave me the keys, he said, "Remember, when she is in your car, she is the most important person in the world. Treat her that way." I never forgot that.
