Today for the first time I talked with a Mexican woman. Do you feel its impressive?
So today I was again in Starbucks but this time in the branch in Lavelle Road area of our city Bangalore, India which is a very upscale and cosmopolitan area. In the Cafe, i saw 2 foreign women sitting, one working on laptop and both speaking in a foreign language(Spanish). Both were speaking to each other so didn't approach as I didn't wanna interrupt their conversation but approached one of them after one of the woman had a phone call to attend. So i talked with this woman saying I am just saying Hi to new people and she responded warmly. Then i asked whether she is working in Bangalore and she said yes and she said she is living in Bangalore for 12-13 years so she is a long term expat and she said she is from Mexico. So I answered "Wow nice to meet someone from Mexico".
She is living almost as long as me in Bangalore as I am from Siliguri in West Bengal state of India and living in Bangalore since 2008 so 17 years but i grew from a child to adult here as I am 24 now turning 25 in 2 weeks whereas she is older about 35-40 now so she lived only her adult life here. I also showed curiosity about the language she was speaking with her friend and she said its Spanish. I said about my MBA and everything too but she eventually said "Okay its nice meeting you, goodbye" as her friend was almost done talking on phone. Btw even when she was speaking with her friend in Spanish, she was often talking about Miami and the University of Miami so I guess she studied there. The conversation was short so couldn't ask her about whether she has any connection to Miami but it was great talking to a Mexican woman for the first time.
