Which one u would choose?

I am a doctor and I recently started to work at a place I was assigned to.Lets call it town A. Its 3.5 hrs drive from my home town. Its a quiet hospital with limited facilities and patients. Not much to do actually. Just spending time. I have 7 days off in a month.

Yesterdat I got a call from my home town and they asked me if I could go there and work in one of the city centers hospital. Its crowded with lots of work and it is in my home town. Lets call it town B.

Now Idk which one to choose. In town A I am like a surgeon without an operation room and in town B I am like a surgeon with many surgeries.
The pay might be better in town A despite of the less workload.

So which one u think I should go for?

@dirge so u say less work?
@Foxygirl32 I'd vote for more time off; you didn't say what it'd be at b. but more pay and better hours is pretty compelling to someone who's been oncall in some form or another for onwards of 30 years.

@dirge town B has less work hours. Its 8 a.m to 2 p.m with 7 days off in month.but town a > have to be there 24 hrs
@Foxygirl32 it sounded like a was the one with 7 days off in a month. so better pay, but worse hours for a or less pay and more work for b, but better hours? it seems like close to a wash for either one. with b you wouldn't have to move, which might become the deciding factor for me. not moving and staying with a town you already know pretty well and have some connections in.

@dirge yes exactly🙏
@Foxygirl32 it might be a good plan to math out what your actual rate would be for either/both. I've had jobs before where annual salary seemed $big but if I added up all the hours and divided pay by that, I was closer to a mcdonalds manager (possibly in another state) who would be working all the time. and while sitting around, waiting for someone to call you in for something seems like it might not be so bad, you usually can't quite have 'normal' life in that time, either.
