When someone betrays you, do you give them a chance to explain themselves or do you just remove yourself from their life completely?

I don't know I just feel that I could've said somethings but I didn't I just disappeared suddenly and aggressively without a trace.

I think it depends on a lot of factors and it's different with everyone.

When someone betrays me their lies, even if just through their anctions, are already in place too strongly for me to trust anything else they have to say. But if they’re adamant about it I let them say their piece for their own benefit. Otherwise no explanation is needed or even cared for because the damage has been done at that point.
