I'm really worried about my friend and her daughter.

Her daughter isn't even a year old yet and has lost a lot of weight. To the point they've having to insert an NG tube to feed her. She's still throwing all the milk back up so they're probably gonna have to use a cannula. They're suspecting a possible autoimmune condition. Nothing determined yet.

They've been back and forth at the hospital for a while. I went to visit them when they got home like 2 weeks ago, took a gift for both her daughter and her, just something to make them smile but she sounds so discouraged in the voice notes she's sending me🥺

I know there's very little I can do but it truly sucks seeing her like this. I'm probably gonna visit again tomorrow.

It’s one of the most devastating situations in life. It’s not fair a baby has to go through such a life threatening situation. It’s not fair a mother has to go through this. There’s not much you can do to help the situation for a better outcome but you can be supportive to your friend, letting her know you are there when needed with whatever support you can offer. I was hospitalized with my youngest but the critical moment of the stay at the hospital was luckily not longer than a couple of days. I wish for all the best for the baby and your friend. They’re lucky to have you in their lives.
