Idk what to think about life. . . I wake up and remember research! Weird?
So I conducted original research while in high school I received 12 college credits and 2 awards from the US military for my experiment and findings. I have some resentment because I was one of only about 3 or 5 presentations out of hundreds at the symposium that conducted my own original research and experiment in addition to analysis of established literature & previously conducted studies.
Nearly all other presentations were literature reviews ONLY; rarely with original (if any) experiments or further study, therefore science at that level was entirely about who/what you know; and how well you can read and present information.
Science is being compromised by already established players to the damage of novel findings. This diminishes the opportunity for breakthroughs and learning!
I had a brain tumor probably the entire time but everyone else’s (the vast majority) research were nothing more than literature reviews; and they got more recognition WTF?
That is all.
