When the world seems to be falling apart I think of all the amazing people I've met
The people of Thailand who don't have much but smile anyway and helped me and my friends in a storm, Ali who sent all the money he made to feed his elderly mother, the Eritreans I worked with who had been shot and enslaved who found a reason to smile and supported me when I was in a low place.
The people I see on here who have morals and values and are kind to others, the south African family who treated me as their own, and my friends and family.
It reminds me that the best of humanity endures through the negativity of others and that the other choice is always an option. To recognise the sadness in those who do wrong is to understand, to justify it is a choice which misses the point and keeps the same cycle spinning.
