The board is being so supportive in me having to deal with the manager while she trains me

They are making sure there will always be a board member present so she can't push me around and be unprofessional or abusive

I feel guilty because of how upset this is all making her (even despite her leaving voluntarily).

I will now be the next villain in her story that was once a friend, and is now an enemy. Usurping her place at market and turning everyone against her

I don't care.

And "I don't care" is precisely the attitude you should take. You are too smart and too good to lower yourself to her level. The market and people are your focus, and that is why your rightful place is manager.

@onrealityofdreams Yes!! I choose to put my energy toward positive things.

I feel supported by the board and even though she is firing off emails and I can tell she's upset, it's all good.

@caccoon The positive direction is the best. The board supports you because they pick up on your positive energy. Let her fire off as many stinky emails as possible. One saying that comes to mind is "If you talk badly about another person it doesn't make you look good."

@onrealityofdreams it's so true. And I know I am badmouthing her on here but I keep it very professional at the market.

I didn't even bring up a lot of the things she has done or said, but they know. And one of the board members DOES know and I think relayed it to the rest of the board.

Anyway, yes. Positive looking forwards. I am excited for the future
