Isn't it amazing how everything slowly transforms into one of those artsy black and white movies about some distant dystopian future?

With slogans and catchy phrases and symbols. In the movies they wear armbands, we have hats. A cult of personality, doublespeak and gaslighting.

Soldiers walk the streets looking sharp but bored.
They patrol the streets and walk by huge portraits of the Great Leader hanging from the side of state buildings.

like in those movies, there's the resistance, the righteous, the leftists, the ones with the moral authority.
They go to shows and make songs and have big events where they give each other awards and make speeches about how much better than everyone they are.

Also Like in those movies, the poor gets poorer while the politicians wear flashy clothes and celebrate whenever they come up with a new nickname for a rival or a viral funny meme.

It's amazing how easy it is to make all of that normal. Just keep doing it until the shock wears off and people don't even see it anymore.

We watch videos about North Korea and wonder... Do they not see how blatant and crazy that shit is?
