I want to clear something up

This has been negging me for the last few days.

Neanderthals were not stupid or lumbering idiots.

They were actually considered somewhat more advanced than Homo Sapiens in that, they were compassionate and caring. This has been proven that they would care of those in their tribe who were sick or injured through remains and remenants left behind. They were spiritual and buried their dead. They seemed to have a stronger sense of social obligation and community.

Honestly, Neanderthals should have become the lead human, but Homo Sapien won out. While there's a debate as to how, it seems more likely due to Homo Sapiens themselves and climate factors.

Today, Neanderthal genes can be found in modern day people, so their genes survive.

So stop making them the butt of jokes, people! They were good people!

@FoxyQueen Given some thought over the years to why Humans won the survival existence race. To be honest other than the likely candadates. Like. Frozen Earth, Disease, Enviroment Pollution. I really don't know why we are left without any other Humanoids

@zeggle I offer the opinion that using darwinian theory, the possible reason for the primacy of Homo Sapiens in the race to the top of the food chain was our nastiness and aggression, accompanied with a large braincapacity, which other "humans" may have shared, but not expolited aggressively😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Yea that aswell could have helped pushed it over the line, so to speak!

I suppose I should be proud of the 1.5% Neanderthal genes in my DNA.

@exexec You should! Loud and proud!
Their reputation improved significantly once DNA results indicated their descendants were more widely represented among Caucasians than other groups. 🤨
