@caccoon Having dealt with what I feel is more than my fair share of toxic people, you can feel badly. To a certain extent, that makes you wonderfully delightfully emphatically human. Good on you. But. You need to self preserve yourself from doing too much empathy. Cuz that shit is every which way hurtful.

@Longpatrol yeah and I think that's exactly what happened. I placated her too much and was her support person, but she doesn't respect me and she crosses my boundaries constantly.

If I get upset when she does, she just gets angrier until I give up because I'd rather not fight.

And now I am just glad she is leaving.

@caccoon Next time you see her you'll have learnt.

Unfortunately its not an experience that can be broadly applied I think. Got to learn it with each new douche in your or my life.
