I met an interesting guy at a potluck…

He is 79, a draft dodger from Texas. He seems mentally sharp but tells me he’s been living in a shelter the last five yrs. He is looking for work and asks me if I know someone who would hire him as a domestic live-in. Wants to live for free in exchange for being a servant…cooking, cleaning, personal care, etc…your comments, please!

He had a job looking after a woman until she died at 97…tells me he has good references.

I think he ought to get an agency to hire him. I would be a lot more comfortable employing someone through an agency.

@Wiseacre People can go to agencies/companies to hire housekeepers and part-time caregivers etc, and they are bonded and insured. I was thinking there were probably companies for work like his, if he is really qualified.
