Yes, I can take time out but I am not sure there won't be consequences for my patients. I also don't know how to cope without work. I don't trust the person who is supposed to replace me. There will be someone else in a few weeks and I can relax better then.

Did you express any of your thoughts and feelings about this to those who were being selfish? It seems like they ought to receive some of your frustration, as though it is a teaching moment (even if they learn nothing and stubbornly retreat into denial of or obliviousness to their wrongdoing)
