Yesterday I Took The Boy For An Eye Exam & We Went To Braum’s To Get Milk…

I gave him the money to go inside of Braums and get his gallon of milk. Rolled down the windows and shut off the engine. Two women and a young boy maybe 4 years old came out and headed to the car parked next to us. The little boy bumped into the brick wall and his mother mentioned him hitting his head. Then they opened the car doors and the stench hit my nose, it smelled like a garbage dump. The mother was putting the boy in the back seat and buckling his seat belt and apparently he dropped his ice cream. She told him “When we get home you’re going to clean this car !” 🤢😖 It didn’t seem like anyone ever cleaned it by the way it smelled. The car was dented up pretty bad and large patches of paint peeled all over it. Maybe they couldn’t help that part because things happen and people don’t always have money for repairs or replacement. But that stench was something else. I don’t know how they can live that way.

Poor kid. It's always hard to know what (if anything) to do in a case like this. I would seriously consider noting the registration number and informing Social Services if I thought such a young child was being neglected and possibly abused in this way. It may be, of course, that the mother just needed some support and is herself struggling to cope. They authorities might be able to help there.

@FreddieUK Department of Human Services won’t do anything about it. It has to be something extreme if a citizen reports anything or a police report or a child going to the ER and the doctor’s reporting suspected abuse. It seems like a poverty situation and maybe the woman was raised that way. No telling what their home smelled like though. When I first drove up and saw that car it made me think “Meth car” the shape it was in. Who knows how they live or what they spend their money on, some people are poor due to poor spending habits, if they have money the money may go for tobacco, alcohol, drugs ,fast food or other things. So many don’t know how to be frugal and set priorities. See a lot of it in Oklahoma. I am trying hard to not judge the woman on her car but it seemed off to make the kid clean the car when it smelled like a dump to begin with. It was probably not the first time the boy spilled an ice cream or something else in it.

@cherokeepatti So sad. But I understand what you're saying: there's a lot of poverty and need around.

Sadly I had a friend like that. He let trash pile up in his truck so bad that no one else could ride with him unless he cleaned out a section for them. The stench was unreal. 🤢🤢🤢

@Musicman When I was working at Walmart there was a customer that was like that too. The cart pusher said that she would drive up & park her car and open the door and trash would spill out into the parking lot. The trash was piled up to the bottom of the windows. He said that happened every time she came to the store. Fast food & snack & soft drink trash etc.

You can be poor as dirt, and still clean your car if you are healthy and able to bend over.

@4meAndyou smelled like the seats and carpet need to be shampooed at least a couple of times.

@cherokeepatti I found a picture of her...🤣🤣🤣

That's when cps should be notified.

@NativePortlander1970 I don’t know about now but do know that CPS is responsible for taking children and even babies and letting pedos adopt them out. I know someone that got their baby taken when they were young and not married. The daughter found her and was grown by then. A professor and his wife had adopted her and she got sexually abused while she was growing up. I think it is common in fact. A former Oklahoma legislator got shot and died the day after an Arkansas legislator also died by gunshot. They both were investing (together I believe) child trafficking by the DHS. The man here in my city that got shot died in the living room and his gun was found on a table across the room. The police spoke about the day after it happened and said they were investigating it as a murder. The state medical examiner ruled it as a suicide. This is the Swamp at work, working together.
@cherokeepatti One in maybe one hundred, or less. There is a toddler child in danger of heinous abuse and surrounded by filth. Call cps
