Why are important people in power

for example POTUSes and candidates for other important positions not required to take IQ test and reveal their scores?
and im not even talking about their relevance. i feel like theres so much talk constantly round being smart, but somehow that is not normalized? dont u think its strange

Because IQ tests, and even IQ itself, doesn't mean much. Being able to do some quick calculations or recognize patterns in squares and circles, doesn't really help with a strategy for foreign relationships for example.

@SomeMichGuy having a low IQ probably is a reasonable prediction of not understanding the complexity of governing people indeed. So you might filter out some unfit ones, but I stand by my point that a high IQ won't confirm that someone will do a good job.
