What was the roughest time in your life ?? What caused the situation ??

And when I say roughest, it could mean emotionallly, financially or anything that you deem appropriate.

When my parents and 3 siblings were killed by a drunk driver. I was 17 and had just graduated from high school. I still think about it everyday. And I have been thru years of counseling for survivor's guilt. I wasn't in the accident. They had gone on vacation and I stayed home to start a modeling job. My dad was a pilot for FedEx so I find it ironic that he died in a car crash.

@Pretzel Thank you. I have talked about it before but I don't usually. It's sometimes uncomfortable for people cuz they don't know what to say. And I get that.

@Pretzel that's why I left Tennessee cuz everyone knew and it was just better for me to leave and try to start fresh somewhere else. But the memories just followed me and haunt me.

@lostlissa yeah, my mom offed herself when I was 17 (oddly enough) and I carried guilt and anger on that one for a good decade (well a bad decade)

I know what you mean about your past - it's like in A Christmas Carol where Marley is walking around with his chains.

@lostlissa thanks. I finally accepted in her case that life was harder than not life...she had her own chains so...I get it now.

that gave me a lot of peace.

@lostlissa I can’t imagine the grief and loss and survivors guilt you must go through. That asks too much for a human being let alone a teen

@lostlissa Wow , i thought i felt some kind of unkown connection ,my parents were killed by a drunk driver when i was 4 years old . I was in the car but survived ,i understand exactly how you feel.

@kodiac I am so sorry for your loss. I am so grateful that i had my parents for 17 years. I miss them terribly but my sister and brothers were all under 10 years old. My sister was adopted but i was very close to my brothers.

@lostlissa Just left an empty space in a place that should be full . I don't really remember my parents but in some deep down place i do i guess. I'm so sorry, having them there for so long would be even worse thatn not remembering .
