It boggles my mind when people are annoyed that they could of shown empathy.

You're not annoyed, you're embarrassed that you don't do anything to help others unless it suits you. So you make people who are feeling bad, also feel like they're too much. Sometimes I read stuff here and I go through the day in my real life, and the apathy and preoccupation with self has gone a little far. Social media exposes those inner thoughts. Hiding behind a screen, a facade, a tribe of people who will agree to anything. I remember the feeling of community, I know it existed. It's only a dream now.

Sometimes I think the whole world is going through something like compassion fatigue. We’re so inundated by injustice it’s hard to know where to start.

But I agree it’s not an excuse. Just do something. Commit to a cause. Help one person if that’s all you can do.

It’s frustrating.
@SwampFlower I agree we're fatigued, I also think the system is designed that way. Our spirits are being crushed, we're losing our shared heart as people.

It's hard to see people complaining about it though. Complaining about complaining 😂 a little kindness goes such a long way these days. But I feel like people wouldn't do anything compassionate unless their live depended on it.
