Alone? Possible?

Sone people are happy on their own and dont feel the need to meet anyone. A lady I once knew spent her life alone. She went to church, worked and a few times a year saw family. A few people in her church invited her for meals, but she always declined. She earnt good money, lived in a little flat and hardly spent anything. She never sppeared depressed or unhappy or had any desire to travel or have any hobbies.
