I think I’m realizing that no job/place to live/external life factor will magically make your life amazing. It’s all about your state of mind really

I’ve seen people be really poor and love their life, and I’ve seen rich people be depressed.

I’m very guilty of saying, “my life will be perfect when xyz happens.” But it’s never now, my life is never perfect NOW.

The more things I gain in life, jobs, apartments I’ve wanted to live at, cities moved to, etc, I’m realizing that happiness and feeling like you’ve “made it” is just a state of mind. Myself, and a lot of other people, often feel like we need something more to be complete, but what if we’ve been complete the entire time?

I think we need to slow down and think about the blessings we have. Before, I’ve let myself feel down about where I am in life, but really I have all that I need. Another purchase or a better job isn’t going to fix that void where happiness lives within us—it’s something we have to fill ourselves. Somehow.

It’s a shame more people can’t get this.
Life is tough for most but it doesn’t mean we have to be miserable.

We all have bumps in the road. It’s how we choose to ride those bumps though that determines our view of the journey.

All the best with your journey.
Be careful with those thoughts though too. You aren't wrong in seeing how many rich people are depressed or how some poor find happiness. Quality of life is really how you want to live your life and love your life. But it's also romantic to see those poor as being happy, when you can't know until you find yourself in those shoes of being poor.

You don't need all the right things to be content and happy. It is more a state of mind I believe.

I would mend this to say that most of the things that make you happy are more basic, ground level things like good friendships, financial stability, time spent doing shit you care about, and exercise. If you choose the wrong job or the wrong city, it can make those things very hard.

Sadly yes. Life is what you make of it. We hold all the tools and decisions. Any situation can be good or bad.

Yeah, no such thing as a geographical solution to an emotional problem. But I still feel the constant urge to fly

So very true! Thank you for this! 💜
It's probably that. Hence I want a no stress job. I'll take even mediocre salary.
