I need to stop comparing myself to other people

I am not terrible and a failure

I am kind and curious about the world and that is enough.

But I am a mess this morning and that's okay too.

This is one of two days I get off of work (but I still work on this day too... But later).

It's time for a nap

Well, I’ve seen a lot of your posts and you seem very awesome and unique in a wonderful way to me. Have a good nap!

I think you are kind but i also think you need to show that kindness just a bit more to the person in the mirror. i think she deserves it

@wackidywack I am trying 💙💙💙

You've been through a lot and that just tanks your self-esteem. If you were to meet someone just like you, you'd be delighted to have met such a fascinating, wonderful person damnit.

@CountScrofula I think so much feeling unwanted and displaced in childhood messed me up quite a bit and set me up for feeling like an outsider always.

But I am really going to work on it, because sometimes I am happy for days and days. And it's worth it to feel like that. Today I don't want to be here anymore but I know it will pass

Thank you 💙

If I may kindly offer some timely advice: There is no reason for ANY of us to compare ourselves to other persons.

@caccoon When I was a teenager-from March 1978 until March of 1985-and-during most of that time-while suffering from the serious afflictions of neurological.circumstance based depression-I would incessantly compare myself to other persons. Eventually I received much needed life saving medicinal/psychological talk therapy-hence-I NO LONGER engage in the pointless, time consuming/wasting process of comparing myself to other persons.

@cuteblondegreyguy is there a specific thought that helps you?
cuteblondegreyguy · 56-60, M
@caccoon Yes-indeed-simply: "Jim-despite having been human enough to make mistakes over the past 60 years-I STILL like me. I certainly do NOT care what others think of me!" :)

I see myself in you.
