Am 36 but still have dreams of after retirement. Anyone else?

My son and future kids will fly the nest by then, I will exercise, meditate, go Gurudwara, visit a cafe 🤗 get back home (probably lunch time by now), take naps! Spend summers sunbathing.

Of course I can't do it on my off days as am looking after my toddler but once he in school! Thas where the action starts, right? But then I gotta b places with my wife, 6 hour gap (school run) so yeah I do these stuff when I get the chance! But after 68? Everyday! 🤗

Do not not wait to do stuff. Do as much as you can while young. When you get old, your body stats to not cooperate anymore, and you tire more easily. At least that is what is happening to me. Yet I could eat better and exercise!

I always thought: when I get older, I will go see all these places. And now that I am older, travel is just a hassle and sometimes all I want to do is go to a nearby park and sit on a bench. My life is slowing down. In seven years I can retire, so I will have more free time, but even less energy than I have now. Sigh.

And enjoy your children. After they leave you will miss kids, until grandkids arrive. I have no kids, so no personal experience. Yet my parents only have one grandchild. They moved 100 miles to be close. But my parents did not get to spend as much time with her as they liked, and now she is an adult. They are bored and considering moving near me, LOL! But I am dull. I suppose we can all sit on a park bench together!

If u plan to retire in your 60s just plan how much u would need to save to live off of. So around 30 to 40 year's worth of money. I would add maybe 10 or 15% God knows how much stuff will cost around that time

Begin now and do one of those things for a few minutes daily ;))
I'll be dead by then...

I never looked forward to retirement… life is to be enjoyed when you’re young!
