If validation isn't important, what is invalidation?

It is but validation from others doesn't matter. You create the emotion yourself.

When someone else gives you praise, you create the feeling within your self. If you learn to create that feeling on your own you dont rely on other people to feel that way. Ita really freeing.
@GuyWithOpinions it does matter. It matters to kids who are learning. Even my dog sometimes just needs a little TLC and reassurance. It matters to people being abused.

It definitely matters, as much as being invalidated.
