Moving beyond any desire to engage with the online "world".

I don't think I'll be on this site for much longer, because not only have I lost interest in it, but in many ways I've become discouraged by, and have disengaged from, the internet as a whole. Too much of it is just phony nonsense masquerading as "news", science, and other crap that we all need to apparently know in order to... what? Remain miserable? Remain in our own little echo-chamber bubble?
The vast and overwhelming majority of what's encountered online is fake anyway, or at the very least distorted. For example, that recent suborbital trip into space that Katy Perry and her gang of Amazons allegedly took that so many are now discussing. I say "allegedly" because there are many who believe the whole thing was staged, that it wasn't real, didn't happen, and I can't say I blame them, even though I don't believe that was the case myself.

And how many here, on this site, are not who they claim to be? There is no real way to tell unless they either confess or I happen to find the image they're using online (and it turns out to be the image of an actress or model, for example).
Anyway, the real world isn't to be found within some electronic aether; it's "out there", where the sun shines, the rain falls, and where you meet people face-to-face. Online anyone can pretend to be anyone, and those I've "met" online are the most gullible people I've ever come across (or maybe it's just "Americans" who are like that, because they'll believe anything).
Turn off your laptop, toss your "smartphone" into the lake, look up, see the sky, and enjoy the only reality there is; this one. When the end is approaching, you'll seriously regret all the time you spent staring at some small screen that displayed constant bad news.
Smash the damn things! Become a Luddite! Become a PROUD Luddite. And if you don't know what a Luddite is, don't "Google it", use a damned dictionary! You know, those things that sit on bookshelves, and are made out of paper. We all need to pull the plug on this crap, because it isn't doing any of us any good. It's just another way for unhinged psychopaths to manipulate us. Ignore it.
Long live cash, bank tellers, and cars that run on petrol.
