I can see taking either of 2 ways. As others have written, you can take it as too forward and too fast. Or, perhaps you can see it as refreshingly open and honest. Maybe just a bit exciting.
Of course, not knowing him I have no idea what his intentions were.
Good luck. Have fun but I definitely appreciate your interest in more mature men.

@MarbleMarvel You're welcome. I just discovered your profile and I'm enjoying reading your posts.
The old and the young have advantages. Something new for both of you. My last lover was older—20 years older. I don't know if I would like someone younger.
@WonderGirl we'll see how it goes. I definitely value wisdom and experience so this guy threw me off. Amateur move.

@MarbleMarvel My advice, for whatever it's worth, is this...Meet somewhere very public. If the vibe is good, hold hands. Be clear, set boundaries, as long as you are enjoying it and feeling comfortable enjoy the thrill of something new. If anything feels off or uncomfortable take a step back or simply end the date.
Moving a bit out of our comfort zones can be good and can be exciting but trust your instincts.
Wishing you the best with this

@MarbleMarvel I don’t know if you are thinking too hard or not but I’m a hopeless romantic

@BobbyMoeven isn't that stuff supposed to happen naturally? Not part of the date plan? Just seems off to me.

@MarbleMarvel
Exactly ..that's not a normal conversation when you are just getting to know someone ..it's kinda giving you the impression that there is very little nuance to this person ... It seems juvenile as well ..

@BobbyMoeven at least I'm figuring out how to navigate this mess 😂

This sounds like someone who is trying to be romantic but doesn't know how to do it without forethought. Bless him for trying lmao
@CountScrofula yeah, I get it 😂 I'm not really into it at all. I was looking forward to meeting him until he said that.
Bless his heart, but the more I think on it, the more I don't want to open that can of worms at all.

maybe just see how you like it, if anything just enjoy the hand holding, but slowww down guy
@Bexsy yeah we'll see. I'm just in a place I need to take it slow

Do you like affectionate guys?
@HijabaDabbaDoo very much 😊 but it seemed weird to put that pressure on when we haven't even met yet. I don't know if I want to be affectionate with him yet and I don't want to feel like I'm agreeing to it.

Well, give him a chance, see what happens. He might be a nice suprise.
@TallMtnMedic who knows
Pretzel · 70-79, M
yeah and if you date him...he will have peaked and has nowhere to go but down.
Alex51 · 61-69, M
Age is not a factor in holding hands romantically
@Alex51 no but the fact that I don't know him is

@MarbleMarvel so wait till you know him if you like to continue a relationship.
