What do you mean you can feel peoples walls go up? Like what did you do that caused that i'm curious lol

@Pressure I mean the receptiveness I felt, shuts down. It leaves the conversation. I know if I stop putting in effort they won't pursue.

I think what causes it varies. With men if I mention I have a kid they close off. Some people just can't handle being real. Or it's too personal for their preference. I can't say I really understand, but I will respect boundaries. Maybe I'm too much for them.
