Here is another post; I've copied and pasted from a response I've made on another persons post, I think it's something I figured out years ago...

I believe that our beliefs can either lead us near, or lead us away from the Lord... Even knowing the scriptures and picking out the ones that satisfy our hunger for rejecting God instead of embracing Him fully...I've seen scriptures lead us near or far, I've seen preachers lead us near or far, and also our own discernment lead us near or far.... I believe that those who are chosen, have chosen carefully to be lead near to the Good Shepherd our God! And they Love Him Completely!

I hope this helps lead us closer to the Lord, and not to harden our hearts against Him! Choose LIFE!

Being lost is absolutely no fun. I personally pursued Catechism at 13 and then made an agreement with God that I would pursue my path and to make me utterly miserable if I got too out of the way. Thankfully God fulfilled his part and drew me back to his Love.

You presuppose the existence of a god with human characteristics.

Problem is that it’s really just a self-fulfilling prophecy. God exists for you BECAUSE you believe God exists.

God doesn’t exist for atheists BECAUSE they don’t believe God exists.

There’s no objective reality and nothing in between the two paradigms, which is why there can never be a winner in such a debate.

Another issue is that people like you have the creation myth backwards. You believe that God invented and created the universe and everything in it, when it’s obvious to any objective thinking person that humans invented and created God to explain how everything mysteriously came to be.

@saintsong Just as I assumed you would ramble on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on with your Jesus stuff.
