Regular people have replaced celebrities and become the advertisers. They've essentially allowed themselves to become living ads.
I'm so sick of people trying to trick viewers into watch an ad by attempting to seemless put it in there by making it feel lik eit's natrually part of the video and by the time you realize it's an ad, you've already started watching it. That is such a dirty trick. It's exactly like ads on tv that you can be flicking channels and not be sure if it's an ad or an interesting movie.
When the algorithm doesn't like something, they'll just take away their own free speech and thought and just say whatever they're "allowed" to say.
And then there's the overly sensitive viewers, so of course the so-called content creators happily censor themselves when they say things that no one would have really cared about a few years ago.
And they all just regurgitate the same crap over and over and over again.
They're careful about what they say and don't say and what they do say is just the same "safe" thing as everyone else.
You have a controversial opinion about something, or even just stated a fact that someone overracts to and claims it to be offensive? Oh, you're a horrible person. We're going to cancel you now as if you're a tv show and not a human being.
They hear something about someone and instead of looking into it or thinking for themselves at all, they just go along with whatever they've been told.
People streaming on twitch 24/7, letting any random stranger watch them while they sleep or know when they've left the house with no one else in it. Oh you're going to go out to eat? Gotta stream it! 🙄
I've tried to watch these types of streams to see what people get out of them and... there really is nothing. I guess it's just that it's easy to watch and they don't have to *gasp* think!
Watch people on twitch and try to look for someone with something intelligent to say. Someone who will have real discussions. Or hell, even just play a game that isn't being played by everybody else. It's almost impossible.
It's extremely important to be alone with your thoughts sometimes. But people get scared because they might have a thought that they don't like, or come to an uncomfortable realization. Doesn't matter if that would ultimately lead to something better, no, they just put their head back in the sand and pretend that everything is fine.
They can't handle any sort of negativity, or even just what they perceive as negativity.
"Don't forget to subscribe" I haven't forgotten, I just don't fucking want to.

There's a lot of truth in what you said.
But consider this truth that was, is, and always will be without thought stealing mind probes.
Your thoughts ARE your private world. Truly the only private place we can all choose to go.
