Are you just living for retirement?

You have to balance living in the moment with not out living your finances. My parents are both 82 and doing pretty good for that age.

I'm of retirement age and have the resources to retire. But I'm still working and enjoy it. Look at the numbers of people who still work beyond their mid-60's. It's not a bad thing. That being said I have eased off quite a bit. But I'm still going in on a regular basis.

You’ve got to have a plan, interests, things to do/pursue-hopefully that you’re passionate about- and social connections so you don’t die on the vine.

I don't know that when I 'retire' that I will completely quit working. I'll probably still have some kind of part-time gig or something to keep me busy. That is unless I hit some jackpot, which then I will be traveling.

I haven't worked in years and enjoy my life as a mom and wife with no intent on finding a job

Surely I would die if I retired. I need to have that daily routine of getting up getting out of the house and working

My dad retired at 53 and was dying to go back to work within two years

Who can afford to retire? I just had to mortgage the house to buy eggs!

I'm retired and staying busy, exercising my brain and my body.

kinda. although I don't want a 'sit and yell at the tv' kinda retirement.

I have saved some money for a rainy day, which will hopefully be my retirement.

I have no shot at retirement. That's for boomers.
