I need a table saw or something similar so that I can cut up just small pieces of wood

Would that be the best/cheapest option? Being unable to cut wood holds me back often ahah

From what you're describing you just need a handheld circular saw and a combination square. You can't even get one that runs on the batteries you already have. Or a miter chop saw if you really insist on something that's stationary.
