@fun4us2b I found a number of articles. She’s not saying it was any one thing but an affair he had with an employee didn’t help. People do just grow apart but I’d have trouble forgiving an affair too. Knowing Epstein isn’t great but I don’t think we know that he did anything inappropriate because of it. We’ll see when the lists come out.

My uncle is a multi millionaire. Yet he does everything possible to save money and has hardly travelled or enjoyed life. I enjoy my life and spend money sensibly doing so. I don't tell him anymore as all he says is, "when are you going to stop wasting money". Not much you can do about these people other than distance yourself from them.

@cherokeepatti we went for a very rare family dinner years ago. He insisted they were not very hungry and only ordered a salad. Then he kept eating off the sides of our plates and ate the leftovers. I am not rich, but I'd be ashamed doing that.

@meggie Did he grow up extremely poor?

That’s what I explained to my daughter when she was in mid-high school. Picked her up from school one day and she started talking about how snobby a lot of the students were, they’d were so wealthy get new shoes to show off…and that if they’d been available in the local mall for more than a couple weeks they didn’t want them, it was a show-off and arrogant thing. Showing off their clothes & bragging what kind of luxury cars their parents had and all that type of thing. And that some of them were really mean spirited to others. I told her if they were really happy with their lives they wouldn’t feel the need to bully & mean-mouthed. She said about 40% of them were on drugs. I asked her how they got drugs and she said the parents gave them a big allowance plus $5 a day for lunches, they’d get a can of pop and a bag of chips for a little over a dollar and pocket the rest for their party drugs.
@cherokeepatti Those mean kids learned those behaviors at home from parents who were unhappy too.

@cherokeepatti yes, people who have money and looks were the worst bullies i ever met. They seem frustrated and unhappy

There are people who can’t be happy unless they can make other people angry or sad. It’s best to just avoid them if you can.

@sahi81 😞sadly as the saying goes not all the money in the world can buy you happiness in your world

Resources in abundance can change the person or magnify their character flaws.

@StevetheSleeve i mean rich and good looking people seem to have everything they want in life unlike poor or average people. I can't understand why still they can't be happy?
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@sahi81 Unhappiness and depression can happen to anyone
sahi81 · 22-25, F
@StevetheSleeve yes... some of them seem to have unhappy or happy but boring or shallow married life and can't divorce for personal reasons..
