More strings? 2? What the . . .

jehova · 31-35, M
My shirt is red flannel button up with collar. Ive noticed strings appear most often when i wear this shirt
Clothes shed.
Its normal.

Its why washing machines need filters amd why dryer filters get full.

You might even have an unconscious habit of picking at your clothes and and not know it.

It happens man.....to everyone

@OogieBoogie ok its the opposite color part that i notice. Black shirt white strings blue jeans red thread that kinda thing.
@jehova are we talking cotton type fabrics?
Especially natural cotton ?
Coz if we are, cotton gets softer as it gets older, and if you look at it under a microscope it gets 'fuzzier' - all the threads fuzz up a bit - its what adds to its softness as it ages.
And this "fuzz' can act as a sort of frictional 'stick' to tiny threads that come off in the washing or even in a drawer.
(Wool can do this too).

Its kinda like how pet hair sticks mote to some fabric types than others.

And maybe you notice the strings more wjen they are a different colour?

Like - when you do a wash and there's a tissue in a pocket.
- on white stuff you don't see it, but on black it really stands out.

I dunno .....i think you needlessly worry about this. Im saying this as a friend . I do think ypu read more meaning into this than is really warranted 🤷‍♀
