The scariest thing to face in life is that you yourself create the life that you are living. You see the world around you the horrors that exist. It is because you yourself have created them. It is only when you can accept the life that you live and your responsibility for it that you can change your life for the better so that all that you see that is suffering no longer exists.

The scariest thing in life is being mortal, we are born to die. We live our lives in the shadow of death, knowing that one day death will have it's way. We see death and know that they won't come back, yet we strive to survive anyway. We're all dead people, who haven't died yet.
