I miss places that no longer are

I miss you, Burlington, Hamilton and even you, Oakville

And one day, I guess I'll miss this place too

I miss my grandparents and their yard. It was so full of life, so full of plants and trees and shrubs. Even three big hydrangea bushes that alternated blue, pink, blue.

It's all gone now. So are they.

I miss what I thought my childhood was. I miss my grandparents garden. I miss 80s Christmases. I miss how simple it all used to be. I miss not hurting when I wake up. I miss breathing. I miss not feeling tired.
