I feel so much sympathy for you. Especially in the time of life you’re in, the world can seem very upside down. One thing I tell myself when I struggle is that if I’m truly tired of it then I should be willing to work on it to make a change for myself. All that to say there’s lots of things you could do to help yourself, even if it seems like there’s nothing left.
Some things that are important and could help you:
- hydration and diet: I can’t stress how important this is for your mental health. Making sure you drink a little extra water during this time of your life could make all the difference. Make sure you’re eating enough and consistently. Mental health is directly related to physical health! On that note..
- exercise: making sure you’re active is a huge part of keeping your happy chemicals high and keeping your body balanced. Consider a routine or workout if you don’t already have one :)
- sleep: sleep is so important during times like these. It might be a tougher thing to control directly, but try going to bed a little earlier or relaxing more often to help your body function better while you battle your mental health. Also note that TOO much sleep is not the way to go either. Set alarms and keep yourself in check
- music: music can be very stimulating and helpful for the mind :) don’t put on sad music or harsh sounds, but music that makes you happy, even if you aren’t in the mood. It will make more of a difference than you think
- hobbies: investing in your hobbies more while you struggle will not only encourage more creative flow but will also help you focus on something besides your overwhelming problems.
I’ll be praying for you, your family, and your health. You are loved. You are strong. Don’t give up.
