Ok, I agree that being older is not a great reason, but that's not necessary either. Being civilized and respecting people should be a no-brainer.

Being older is not a reason to be automatically respected I'm afraid. Not anymore, too many people abuse "respect me for I'm older"

Unfortunately you can't make him be decent towards you if he doesn't want to be.
Is it possibly a jealousy issue? As strange as it may sound younger siblings of disabled people are often jealous of the extra attention you get because of your disability.
I could be wildly off on this, for all I know he's disabled too, it's just that I've come across this before so I can't help but wonder if that's what his problem with you is really stemming from.
