any experience with Lasik?

edit: laser eye surgery (not veterinarian medicine)

I've known 2 people that had it done. Both regretted it. At first they were super happy because their sight was immediately improved. But within a year their night vision became worse than ever because all those micro scars were sending the light from headlights in a million directions. And within 2 years they had to get glasses again, albeit with a lighter prescription

Well, I've had tons of dogs that took it. One of my dogs is taking it now for congestive heart failure. It does make them drink and pee a lot.

This is not something I'd ever consider.
My eyesight is too important to have something potentially go wrong with the surgery.
Doesn't matter how qualified a doctor is. Doesn't matter how many times he or she has performed the procedure. Anything can happen, infection, loss of eyesight, constant pain etc. I've heard of people getting eye surgery and left unable to fully close their eyes. So no thanks.

A family member did it. His sight improved significantly. However, he does these eye drops daily. I asked him if the drops were for the side effects of the procedure, he told me, not really and it was only for comfort.

Two people I know said it was very easy. I want it but I’m not a candidate due to my astigmatism
I only know one person whos had it - and so far so good.

I kinda like my glasses tho. I think glasses can be attractive.
I like that my glasses are also anti blue light, reduce glare and tint in strong light for eye comfort .

Surgery cant do all that.

The only thing i dont like about my glasses is when ive misplaced them.

I would like to try contacts tho....id love a violet pair 🤗

Edit: also, the idea of a lazer on my eye freaks me da fuck out.
Same reason i denied an epidural in my spine for birth.

Untill something like that is guaranteed to be 100% foolproof ....nuh uh😣
