My dad told me something interesting today.

It seems, in the not so distant past, if you ordered something, it could take as long as three months to actually get it! Nowadays, I get pissed if it takes four days! Do any of you older members remember those days? He said, he would have to order things in September to guarantee they'd arrive by Christmas! Lol

Back in the '90s, it was still 6 to 8 weeks. And we waited. Every day, I would check the mailbox.

I'm so glad we live in a day when overnight and even same day delivery are things. But I'm afraid we don't appreciate our delivery people nearly enough.
