Why do people on here get into relationships with each other on this site even though everyone is anonymous here and can be fake too?

I have seen several accounts here who are in relationship with someone from this site and they are all grown adults even as old as in their 50s or 60s and saying each other in their posts how much they love each other, in their whiteboards and gifts too that how much they love each other. How? Long distance relationships dont even work most of the time and on top of that pretty much everyone on this site has anonymous usernames, not their own pics and also there are too many fake accounts here and catfish too so how do they do it? Do they just want relationship in the easy mode because they are too afraid to try with someone they can meet in person or in the same city? This site isnt even a dating site so why can't they just use a dating app instead? Why do even some of the older men and older women here do that? I see older men who are 40+ messaging women and hitting on them here thinking they can get into relationship with them without even knowing that she can be a catfish or something. I have also seen people on here using the word rejection if the man gets blocked or ignored even though they dont even know each other and are completely anonymous and miles apart from each other. Most people on this site live in their own bubble and always wants it the easy way. Its funny and stupid how easily some people believe each other on a site like this hahahaha

Who's to say that people on here don't interact with each other via video calls etc. This could be a way of meeting people - myself, I have a number of lovely friends that I had met DECADES ago on EP - and talking through issues/interests with like-minded people.

But, yes.....I'd agree that there's some pretty dodgy people around here at times...

Whatever makes people happy, right?

My wife has some people - both male and female - that fancy her. This I know...and, if we happen to be around them I never do anything like that...I just say that they too have '...good taste', that just signifies that I know!

@SammyJo yeah he is also within 22-25 age range for sure as I am 23 and most people in those classes are in the same age range as me. I just never had a girlfriend so i ended up messaging her without knowing she had a boyfriend. Now i am having crush on a girl there who is also within 21-23 age range but she too is in a different classroom. We have brief conversations and i even complimented her but she is very pretty almost model like whereas I look like a nerd in my glasses plus idk whether she is single too or not so idk how much chances i have with her.

Firstly why be so judgemental about other peoples relationships seeing as you don’t like to be challenged over your predicament. You’re judging people that are much older than you that it is very difficult to meet people later in life. Some work all day and aren’t likely to want to frequent pubs or clubs. I met my husband on a site like this called EP 12 yrs ago, he lived 200 miles away from me but after 3 months of chatting on the phone then Skype we met, then I went to visit him and we started dating for 2 years, then lived together for 18 months and got married 7 yrs ago now. So it clearly can work out.

I know people who met each other here, had a long distance relationship, and got married.

Relationships have happened in stranger ways. Don’t knock it until you learn of someone’s story.

Or perhaps this post is because no one finds interest in you. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Rob04 Haha yeah I have seen several people here like that. I saw 2 older women. One in the 36-40 range and another 51-55 range being in relationship on this site with men. I asked them about it and told them why long distance relationships especially with someone on this site is a bad idea and they blocked me. I am 23 now and my crush is someone i can interact with in real life and so were the other girls too whom i could at least meet in person or were in the same school as me at one point and i would never want an LDR.
