You're not alone, I don't like the be in the same room as someone who has invalidated me, much less touch them.
My parents used to make my brother and I hug it out. We also had to hug and kiss extended relatives we rarely saw even when we didn't want to. My childhood experience consequently was interpreted at that age that my body didn't belong to me and the was carried into my adulthood and lead to allowing unhealthy dynamics with toxic partners.
