When I am upset I don't like to be touched

He asked for me to hug him last night and I said no. I told him I love him but I'm upset and I would not hug him right now

Is that awful?

Do others feel this way when upset?

I find it very hard to want to let the person that is upsetting me touch me

When I'm triggered I want to push everyone away. I'm not in the right mind to share the space with anyone let alone anybody touch me. I think everybody should respect the need of others to be alone and let them cool down.
