I have been retired for almost 10 years now. I still work part time a few days a week and, although I am not doing it for the money, I love to get out among others. And I do have so much to do at home that keeps me busy too.

@Jenny1234 I am a fulltime caregiver to my wife. I have to do all the errands and chores. Plus I just took a class at church and as of yesterday I am now a Stephens Minister. Are you familiar with the Stephens Ministry?

It would be good. Id be all over the dessert hiking as much as possible. Maybe go into a few old mines also. I would love that!

I had a fantastic job as an international banker and had a very attractive income, travelled all over the world and participated in receptions and cocktail business parties, socializing with important people from finance sector ….

Now I’m retired and consider my life doll and boring … 🥹

@Soossie I had a very good friend who was in heavily involved with the finance ministry in Bahrain. He lived there almost 20 years and loved it. He retired and became essentially a partner with me and a few others in a business venture. He considered his life dull after retirement. LOL. It was nothing even close to dull or boring once we partnered up.

He unfortunately passed away a couple years back from cancer, but the venture we were involved in is thriving. He'd be thrilled to know things are progressing along the lines we had hoped.

I don't have to work. I choose to. That being said, I'm beginning to wind things down. I'll stick it out day to day until I find the new significant other in my life. At that point, I'll sell one business and travel.
