Why do some people give up after thier first try? Like you think you only get one chance?

If it doesnt work the first time, you learned what not to do on your second try or made first step progress. Then try again.

Your second attemp is applying what you learned from your first step. If it still didnt work repeat step one cause your just learning more about what didnt work and revising your strategies until it does.

If your third try doesnt get it then you can determine if the resources your putting into it are worth the outcome of completing your task. Each step you are learning something and making progress in some way.

The only way to fail at something is to give up. Otherwise your constantly learning or making progress.

I watched my son be like that, but with some encouragement and explanation of the learning process, he's not afraid to make mistakes.

I think there's a touch of immaturity and perfectionism to it.

It can definitely be overcome.

I'm all for mistakes and even a little pain as part of learning.

@AlchemyFox I agree 100%. When I was in school as a child, when I didn't understand something right away I would get upset and give up, that was really a detriment to my education and growth. It took until I was an adult to get over that.
