Gen Z person refuses to work at 8 am, his boss is mad.

I'm sorry but Gen Z is just smarter, they know enough about corrupt employers that they won't be push overs as everything is freely available to look up. That's the issue here when employers get all hurt want to complain on live TV, talk about cringe.

The way this guy handled his irresponsible employer was good though, I liked his response. If it's a 9 am start day, it's 9 am, if it's 8 am it's 8 am. As a person who is recently looking for a job, I can't tell people how much businesses are lying about everything literally. It should be illegal with how much they lie 馃ぅ honestly.

People are tired of the work force like Gen Z, they know their worth. They are over worked, underpaid and they know this.

We can talk all day about how we're working harder because the system is screwing us over and because of corruption we now gotta work 8 to 16 hours, six days a week almost to make ends meet, when it wasn't that much before but that's not the point.

The point is that Gen Z knows their worth and is not having it, so good on them.

For the boomers - yeah they could work a modest job and make a good living.
Gen X and millenials pretty much got screwed over.
Gen Z sees what happened to Gen X and older millenials so Gen Z already knows that hard work for some company that does not give a sh*t about them is a waste.

Gen X and older millenials were of course fed the lie about "the value of hard work".
Gen Z already knows, from our example, not to listen to BS.

@CestManan They should listen to the BS unless they can live with their parents who did.

@Human1000 More and more though the case is you work so hard in return for so little.

People want to see results of their efforts. They do not want to hear, "Oh it will pay off someday."

Especially when "someday" is suppose to be here but then you find out there was ONE MORE thing you just didn't do. You didn't do the right kind of work, you don't know the right people, something always amiss.

Or whatever knowledge, skills, and hard work you acquired just are not relevant anymore.
Or how you work for years to earn something and somehow it all gets destroyed in an instant.

These days I do just enough to get by, unless it is something I do for leisure and not expecting some grand reward.
