In reality a balance has to be struck between be yourself and be someone people want to engage with.

You can’t spend 100% of your time being yourself only to wallow in self pity that you’re lonely, because you’ve become someone that frankly only appeals to you.

I agree, when people say "be yourself" I think what they mean is to be honest about what you think and how feel about tings in social situations, not unapologetically talk about Star Wars 24/7. 🤭
