I was in Ghana for an internship but it was literally the best time of my life. The food was amazing. The people were even more amazing. Everything was so awesome
My mom lived in Ghana for several years in the 1960s when she was about your age, and travelled back there with my dad after meeting him. Her house is full of pictures and stuff from her time there. Huge part of my parents' lives.
I cannot understand why so many people treat African countries as though they're completely backwater, I have seen towns in America that are third world shantyvilles on their own.
@NativePortlander1970 people are ignorant! There is a poverty issue here but there are so many beautiful places as well. Just like in other countries all around the world
