Do you do the dishes while guests are still present or not?

If you invite friends/family over for dinner or coffee, do you immediately wash the dishes while your guests are still there or do you wait until they leave?
I know people who do it both ways, but I personally put the dishes in the sink, go back and talk to my guests, and worry about washing the dishes later. I think it is kind of rude to start cleaning while your guests are just sitting there.

I do them while they are still visiting. If we are all friends, no one thinks it's rude
[c=#BF0080]Exactly.. we'll be talking the whole time I'm cleaning up so it's not like I'm ignoring them.[/c]

Yes. I can chat and wash dishes at the same time. It helps make room for coffee and other munchies.

[c=#003BB2]If you must leave it, then soak them on water. I personally wouldn't abandon them and go to wash dishes. That is [/c] [c=#BF0000]rude[/c]

I do both, depending on who the guest is and how long they're staying.
[c=#BF0080]Yes I do.. I can't stand it and need to clean it up.[/c]
I relax with my company and do clean up later
